In keeping with our promise of a predominantly pigskin weekend, the Marlins and Rockies were kind enough to play a game of football last night at Coors Field. Colorado won an 18-17 shootout on a Chris Iannetta field goal base hit in the bottom of the ninth.

At 12:35am, we received this text from our brother, which summed up the game pretty nicely:

Marlins/Rockies decided to play softball tonight I see…

Both teams then went out to the parking lot, sat on the back of their pick-up trucks and cracked open a 24-pack of Natty Ice.
