It’s always fun playing the Nationals. (Unless you’re name rhymes with Lark Nendrickson.)
Tonight it was Ricky Nolasco’s turn to pick on the Nats, allowing just 3 hits and 2 runs through 7 innings. Nats batters were abused all game; particularly the top of the order — Bernadina, Harris and Dukes — who combined to go 0-12 with 5 strikeouts. Ricky No-No is 4-0 in his last 5 starts and has brought his ERA down to sub-4.00 levels.
Alfredo Amezaga provided the offensive spark for the Fish, hitting his 2nd(!) homer of the season after an hour and a half rain delay, giving the Marlins a 4-2 victory.
Oh, and the Washington Nationals kinda sorta suck. In case you couldn’t tell by that stunning 34-52 record.

The Phillies did the reversal move last night in Atlanta. They swept the Braves prior to their slump so, sweeping them again allowed them to reverse the voodoo . . . I think I seen So Taguchi filling in for the bat boy yesterday in Atlanta.
The standings are looking strong with the Marlins trailing 2.5 games. By this point in time I can say that the Marlins are the real deal. I look forward to July 18th.
Sorry about the Anonymous posy earlier . . .
